if you arrive earlier than 2 PM and if we are unable to check you in, we can store your luggage for FREE giving you the opportunity to explore the local area of Deptford and Greenwich. If you are too tired to explore we can accommodate you in our bar or chill-out room until you can check-in.
Another bonus of staying with us is that we offer a FREE Sunday Lunch to all our guests. This is either a traditional Roast or Jamaican and West Indian Extravaganza created by our superb landlady Yvonne.
The hostel is 2 minutes walk from New Cross underground train stations. A train to or from London Bridge Train Station takes only 6 minutes and you can comfortably use your travelcard without need to pay any extra fee. We are very convenient if your'e coming to London to attend a concert or event at the O2 Millenium Dome. The Hostel is only a 15min bus ride to the 02 Arena.
The Hostel has a variety of twin rooms and small dormitories. All rooms have been refurbished. The hostel has a guest common room with digital TV, movies, board games and a mini library. We have a brand new guest kitchen and and every floor has several bathrooms with showers. Throughout the hostel there is free WiFi internet access and we have an internet terminal by reception. We also offer lockers for guests. Our friendly staff will be happy to help you with directions and advice. All this and still our prices are super low and include a complimentary continental breakfast.
The Bar downstairs also offers discounts for our guests and every weekend has bands/ DJs. The bar has a pool table and shows all the major sports events live.
If you intend to stay in London longer term then we can help you move into a house or a flat. hed and have digital TV and WIFI internet included.
Deptford has a rich navel and creative history, like the St. Nicolas Church which has two skulls with laurel wreathes on crossed bones displaying the message that death is not final and that it can lead to everlasting life, this inspired local privateers sailing from Deptford to adopt them for their pirate flags so (now you know). Sir Francis Drake sailed from Deptford on his round the world trips and let's not forget one of Deptford's great locals Christopher Marlowe, whom rumour has it was Shakespeare and then there is the one that Shakespeare stole the idea of Hamlet amongst a few other pieces of great work, this area is the most vibrant artistic and musical scene in London.
Recently we have undertaken a full refurbishment, our hostel is brand new, all of our rooms are light and airy, with the key difference being that all the rooms are significantly bigger and more spacious than those provided by other hostels in London). We have a brand new fully-equipped kitchen, new bathrooms (with HOT showers) and 24 hour access to the building.
