Pensiunea Cioca Bed and Breakfast in Targu Ocna, Romania, Europe

Pensiunea Cioca is a small friendly Guesthouse with 8 comfortable rooms located nearby the city of Targu Ocna (300 km north from Bucharest), in a very beautiful countryside surrounded by mountains which makes it the perfect place for a nature and culture holiday. It is here where you can enjoy our homelike atmosphere and the well-known Romanian hospitality. The Guesthouse is run by Eusebiu Cioca who has former experience as a hostel host in the Netherlands, very good english knowledge and understandable french, a lot of knowledge of the area and, at request, good experience in touring the unknown paths of the Carpathians.

The rooms of our Guesthouse are situated in two separate buildings and all of them are equipped with private sanitary facilities, satellite TV, small Coffee/Tea bar and a balcony from which you can have a view over the surrounding natural landscape. Meals for the guests are served in our restaurant with special-priced daily menu; an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and packed lunch is also available. Apart from this there is a large terrace where you can enjoy your meals in the summer days or rest after a day of hiking, have a drink and snacks at the camp-fire or play a game of cards. We have the facilities to host large parties like weddings, bon-fires, New Year parties, discotheques etc. Basically, we want to anticipate your every wish and make it come true for as good as we can.

Our area is excellent for mountain walking, with peaks up to 1,600m. The walks are graded as easy, with some moderate sections, and are well within the reach of anyone who enjoys an active, outdoor life. Mountain biking is another activity for which the area is well suited. Bikes, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags or even boots may be hired given advanced notice. There are many places to fish in the mountain rivers & streams and in the winter skiing is possible. We can show you local activities, which you might like to try - milking a cow, making cheese, traditional cookery, cutting the hay, and so on.
