The Abominable Snowmansion Lodge is an outdoor-oriented facility featuring spectacular views of New Mexico sunsets, occasional evening coyote choruses and contact with a small traditional Spanish community.

Right across from the hostel is the Taos Indian Pueblo's sacred land. A short drive away is the famous Taos Ski Valley and Carson National Forest. Hike, backpack, horseback ride, challenge the whitewater off the Rio Grande, go on a llama trek, mountain bike, soak in natural hot springs, fly-fish the many rivers and streams or visit the 800-year-old adobe village at Taos Pueblo. Be sure to stop by the famous Taos artist colony and the 80 art galleries in the area.

The Snowmansion is a 60-year-old historic adobe lodge with large dorm rooms and private rooms with private baths. Come enjoy the company of international travellers and outdoor enthusiasts in our two-story dwelling.

In our outdoor compound, stay in authentic tipis, rustic bunkhouses, or pitch your own tent on our grassy lawn. All accommodations include kitchen, shower and toilet facilities.

For Private rooms, tipis and cabins, we require a 50% deposit that will be charged in advance by the hostel to your credit card - dorm beds can be paid on arrival.
